This is a collection of public STAC archives, in the STAC-GeoParquet format, for major satellite missions. To start it's just sentinel 2 and Landsat.

They are copied from Microsoft Planetary computer, updating them to the latest version of Geoparquet and aiming to ensure that they follow all the best practices. Currently there are no 'updates', just a bulk transfer, under the idea that it's pretty easy to get the latest from a STAC API. But in the future we can try to add automated or periodic manual updates.

The current versions aren't yet perfect. They are also quite heavy, so may explore versions that don't include all the assets information.
